Hi!!! I’m literally the worst blog keeper ever. I won’t even call myself a blogger. But the Spring One Room Challenge is an awesome opportunity to push my butt in gear and get my bed & breakfast Doppelhaus up and running!!

Have you heard of the One Room Challenge? It’s a super fun twice annual even in which you have 6 weeks to makeover a room.  I’m linking in as a guest participant.

Back to Doppelhaus- it’s a duplex in Fredericksburg TX, a historic German town, and located just two easily walkable blocks from Main St., an awesome amenity when you’re in a city with no open container law. A roadie has an all new meaning!

But I digress. We’ve been hard at work redoing one duplex at a time. But alas- we need to get both sides up and running.

The kitchen is the heart of the home but also the heart of the party. So party kitchen we must make from this.

Obviously, I’ve got to get rid of the boring browny-beige and get it more badass Bavarian. Rather than modern American farmhouse, I’m going for modern Bavarian.

All the uppers are going, and in the spirit of a quick makeover, the lowers will get painted. We will do new tile floors and new counters. And I do plan on sharing the final cost at the end.
