Most kids take a trip to our nation’s capital when they’re in 8th grade.  I never did.  This was actually my first trip to DC, and I loved it. It’s such a great place to visit, and especially on a budget, as all the museums are free.

There is amazing food in DC.  We spent a full day taking the dogs around.  We walked over 7 miles that day. It was hot!! I had never seen Archie and Minnie so tired.  You can actually take dogs most places (I think).  There were a few places that you had to keep them off the lawn.  They’re so small, we could just pick them up when needed.
