Shenendoah National Park

We spent just a couple of nights here. Unfortunately, when we came, it was extremely foggy and the visibility was limited.

In the fall, the Skyline Drive, the road through the entire park, must be spectacular.

Our experience was very different.  The brake lights of our trailer went out, so you can imagine how treacherous it is to drive a long mountain road in the fog, with no lights. Luckily, some nice bikers let us know.

We set up camp in the dense fog.

There were glimpses that were really beautiful.

and the rangers here were so nice.  Archie and Minnie had a great time.

Lest you think road tripping is glamorous, it really isn’t.

This is what our trunk looked like most of the time.
