Game Room Planning

I am a Libra. This means I can’t make up my mind, or rather, I change it everyday.

I saw this picture:

And it captivates me. I love the black/ white/ green/ earthiness.

So yes, back to the drawing board.

Here is my decor plan. It has the brass Jonathan Adler sconces! Thanks people. It has elements of fun (disco ball & foosball table), Texas (cowhide rug & antler chandelier), glam (brass sconces), industrial roughness (pipe bookshelf), and chic (art gallery wall).

The dart board brings in green. I’ll also add in plants/ cacti.

The image is microscopic. You must click on it!!

What say you??

The abyss above

My friend Kirsten did this awesome post on painted ceilings. So true, the ceilings are often overlooked.

But I’m a chicken at times. Colored ceilings are scary? I tend to neutrals: black and white.

Then I saw this picture from Lizette Marie Interior Designs, and yes…

I think the key is to have abundant natural light and high ceilings to avoid a closed- in feeling. Thoughts?

Ensconce me

Plans are continuing ahead for our game room/ lounge. I have an idea for a black/ gold/ white room. Elegant fancy time lounge. Some inspiration pics (all from Pinterest).

So back to the game room. I got a bid back, and it is do-able. In this bid, I get allowances for fixtures. Today’s topic: sconces around the bar.

The bar is another exciting subject for another day, but I’m imagining something like this (the layout, not the style):

From Houzz

With kegerator and wine fridge. (obvs)

So, flanking the bar, we need some sconces. I get a $200 dollar allowance per sconce.

Here are your options:

1)

2)

3)

4)

Which is your pick? Or if you have a better idea, please share!

Thanks in advance!!
