2016

The year has started off well. I really love our new hometown. It’s really beautiful and breathtaking everyday.

I am really enjoying my new job.

We love our new house, even though it’s a perpetual construction zone.

As opposed to our last house that was much more colorful and Marfa-esque, this house has a more neutral palette, perhaps to blend in better with the desert surroundings.

Our latest project is optimizing the finish for the walnut that will wrap the island.

I’m hoping it will look something like this.

The construction doesn’t stop me from having friends over.

Speaking of which, I’ve been so so lucky to have met so many wonderful ladies here, many of whom share my obsession of The Bachelor.  They have been so kind and welcoming, and just all around- awesome!

Archie and Minnie even got into it.

Bachelor bingo and jeopardy were fun.

This weekend, we are in Flagstaff. I love that driving two hours north, we are in a completely different climate. The snow is beautiful.

I hesitate to make any resolutions for his year because I always break them. But I am looking forward to settling in more here, more travel, and hopefully a little human goo-baby.

Happy long weekend!
